The Totem’s story starts on the enchanted island of Taboombu which is home to a very special tribe. This is the fictional backdrop to one of the newest and most exciting collections to hit the NFT space in 2022.
Totems is a collection of NFT’s (Quantity TBA), each one unique with 14 different traits, multiple variations and colours each given an assigned rarity level which are randomly generated together via a smart contract on the Ethereum blockchain.
‘The enchanted island of Taboombu sits proudly on planet Earth but its location is a mystery, however it is home to a very special tribe. It is here that Topo learnt his trade as a totem carver, his carvings were truly magical because whatever he carved upon the totem came to life!
This brought prosperity and protection to his tribe and he became a hero, he made all kinds of totem’s and they all embodied different personalities and traits. Legend has it that Topo created thousands of Totem’s and hid them all around the Metaverse in hope that one day they would be rediscovered.’
Each totem is designed as a collectible to be minted, bought and traded and gives you access to be part of the Totems community and brand. As they are randomly generated and assigned you have no idea what you will get until they are revealed after they have been minted, which brings hype and excitement before you can see what you get, maybe you will get a super rare legendary Totem!
The Totem’s roadmap is designed for longevity and the team have a lot of exciting ideas and developments to bring into the Metaverse. One of these is called the Sacred Stacking Ritual. 500 Sacred stones NFT’s will be released soon after launch and these allow you to stack your individual Totems into a Totem Pole, which will be launched as a separate collection. All of these will be individually designed by the team and unique, your individual totems could interact with one another in their stacked form.
Stood together under the warm Taboombu sun at the foot of the mountains, stand three totems ready for a special ceremony. For these totems are to be sacredly bonded to one another so that they can withstand the most powerful forces of evil that threaten humankind.
Topo holds a Sacred Stone in one hand, and his magical staff in the other. The symbol on the stone starts to glow blue and he channels the energy into his staff which is directed towards the Totems. The magic begins to swirl around them before gently lifting the totems and stacking them on top of each other into a single pole.
A bright flash of lightning strikes it causing a blue bolt to course across its surface. The symbol on the Sacred Stone fades back to black and Topo then places his hand upon the totem pole, bonding it for eternity.
Now that the stacking is complete, Topo bids farewell to the stacked Totem as it gets added into a special collection.
If you are lucky you can even mint a mascot alongside your Totem, these are a super rare trait but each one will have their own narrative and utility along the roadmap and Totems development.
Totems has been founded by Aeikoe and Fluz who are both experienced and successful digital artists for almost two decades. The rest of the team is formed of friends in the space, other artists, blockchain developers, NFT influencers and various members from the Founders Factory ..each bringing something different and exciting to the totem’s table. Inspired by the folklore and mysticism of the Native American tradition, this project aims to pay tribute to one of the best loved and oldest artforms by bringing it into the NFT sphere and creating a fantasy world that brings each totem to life.
